The Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s Regulatory Affairs Division supports businesses by helping them navigate the permits and approvals required to operate in the state.

The regulatory affairs team acts as a liaison among companies, communities, local economic development organizations, and state regulatory agencies. They assist both existing and prospective Indiana businesses with key needs such as identifying permit and license requirements, facilitating communication with agencies, tracking permit progress, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The team also coordinates directly with major state agencies including the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Transportation, Department of Revenue, Department of Workforce Development, and the Secretary of State. In addition, regulatory affairs staff participate in workgroups and task forces focused on issues critical to Indiana’s economic development.
