Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP)

The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), together with its supporting CICP Foundation, was established in 1999 to unite the chief executives of Central Indiana’s leading corporations, foundations, and universities in a strategic, collaborative effort to advance the region’s long-term prosperity and economic growth.

Early in its development, CICP prioritized understanding the region’s strengths and opportunities. In 2001, in partnership with the Battelle Memorial Institute, CICP released an ambitious regional economic development blueprint focused on key industry clusters life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, and technology along with an overarching emphasis on entrepreneurship to strengthen and diversify Central Indiana’s economy.

To drive this mission forward, CICP supports six major talent and industry initiatives:
AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana, Energy Systems Network, and TechPoint. Each initiative targets a specific sector agbiosciences, talent and workforce development, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, advanced energy and transportation technologies, and technology ensuring coordinated, sector-focused strategies that address both challenges and emerging opportunities across the region.
